For a couple of years in the early 2000s, I worked as a rape crisis counselor/medical advocate in the Western suburbs of Chicago. This involved going to hospitals when rape victims (or survivors, depending on your preferred terminology) came in and reported having been assaulted. During my training and my subsequent advocacy work, I was exposed to the idea that men could be raped…and then encountered more than one man who had been raped. And, yes, raped by women. This video is dificult to watch, but I highly recommend doing so.
