As a girl, I would read for hours each day, sometimes even under the covers in bed when I was supposed to be sleeping. Somehow, as I’ve grown up, that hasn’t been as much of a priority. But a few weeks ago, I was looking around my house at all of the books I’ve accumulated (and there are a lot), and I thought that it didn’t make sense to have so many books I haven’t read. So I’ve started rectifying that. And also buying new books to read. And checking books out of the library. At this point, I’m reading upwards of four books a week, discovering new authors, and enjoying every minute of it.
Life lesson: going back to the things that made us who were were as children are sometimes the things we need to get to where we need to go as adults.
